We are looking for Room Parents Volunteers!!! A Room Parent Volunteer’s main responsibility is to lead the classroom parties. We host two classroom parties a year, with one at the end of the first semester and the other in February. The PTO provides the party for you. Generally, a snack, drink, sweet treat, decor, napkins, plates, and a game/craft will be provided for each classroom. One may also provide support to your classroom teacher upon request and need throughout the year.
Room Parent Volunteers are not expected to collect money or purchase items for class parties. There will be one Room Parent per class. You may only serve in one classroom, however, you may apply to each of your children’s classrooms.
Please be aware that classroom parties generally occur at the end of the first semester and the week before February break. For the 2026-2027 school year, the Winter Parties will be held on Tuesday, December 15th and Thursday, December 17th. The Friendship Parties will be held on Thursday, February 4th and Friday, February 5th. Times are to be determined.
In the event you are selected as a Room Parent, you will be invited to a meeting hosted by the PTO to learn more about your role and to answer any questions. The PTO will contact you with meeting information.
All Humble ISD volunteers must complete and pass a background check each year. You must complete this before September 15th to be considered for room parent. https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/MTA4NDplbi1VUw==
